Country Fun Hunting Ink

Field & Stream held a contest for the best hunting tattoos, and the top 25 are pretty impressive.  Sometimes it’s not enough just to live a country fun life – you also have to show the world through your body art.

Someone who loves turkey hunting — I mean really loves turkey hunting — has got to have something like this:

If you’re a bigtime handfisher, you’re used to having catfish all up on your arm.  So it’s only natural to get one tattooed there for good:

These are a little on the small side, though, and other people decided to go big or go home.  This elk-and-moose scene covers the guy’s entire back.

Make sure to check out the edges of the tattoo, where it looks like the guy’s skin has been cut open to show the big game on the inside.  That’s definitely Country Fun.

Not everyone brought their A game, though.  This tattoo just isn’t very impressive.

The best of them all, though, is this one.  Clearly this guy loves two things in life: deer hunting and Chevrolet.  When it came time to pick one to get put permanently on his back, he couldn’t bear to leave one out, so they’re both there.

Tricked out hunting truck

Deer season is opening across a lot of states.  Is it country fun to decorate your truck with hunting junk, or is it just plain pathetic?  What I have in mind here are the gimmicky stuff like Truck Antlers:

Is this really something that makes your truck look cooler?  Or do your friends start asking questions. Here’s how it’s supposed to look:

I’m not impressed.  Mind you, the truck antlers come from the same people who produce this weird little robotic deer that goes on your trailer hitch and holds his arms up to surrender when anyone gets to close.  Think I’m kidding?  Here’s the video:

Is there anything country fun about this?
